MIS 201 Introduction to Management Information Systems
This course is designed to introduce students to computer-based information systems and their role in business organizations. Topics to be covered include a discussion of the nature of information and its contribution to the strategic, managerial, and operational aspects of business, the role of information technology in business process reengineering. The planning, analysis, design, and implementation needed achieve successful information systems, and telecommunications - that underlie these systems. However, the emphasis of the course will be on the managerial used of computer information systems, not the technology by itself.
