What a unique experience after years of restricted time and working constraints I decided to gain a doctorate degree in a subject closely related to my life’s work. I could have chosen psychology but it seemed such a waste to throw away all the practical knowledge that I had gained over the years. I literally daily browsed the internet contacting many institutions, which were not only extremely rigid and expensive but seemed academically cold and aloof. After all, I am not young and was seeking a ‘kick start’ and a way of putting all of my past experiences together.
Then, one day I was fortunate and found AIU, since that time I have really never looked back. From the beginning any problem that arose was sorted in the most professional manner. Concerns that developed were heard and acted upon courteously and due to my advanced years I was thankful for AIU’s andragogy method of teaching finding it to be such a welcome relief. The support offered, when required, was second to none and the procedure both testing and thorough.
Having said all of the above, I am not going to, in any way, pretend that it is easy completing a degree through AIU as it calls upon extreme diligence, commitment and the subject matter has to be conscientiously worked upon from beginning to the very end, but for the many tiresome hours and the hard work spent the rewards are high and extremely satisfying.
I personally and sincerely would recommend AIU to all and would hasten to say a special thank you to my courteous, patient and understanding advisors Dr. Franklin Valcin, Dr. Angel Ranal, Gordon Esses and the support staff at AIU who, after all make it happen, I applaud and thank them all.
