Assignment Transcript

The increasing presence of trauma among students necessitates effective, value-based classroom interventions. This research proposes employing the fruits of the spirit as guiding principles to inform trauma-sensitive teaching strategies. By intentionally incorporating love, patience, kindness, and peace into daily interactions, educators can create environments where traumatized students feel secure and supported. The study emphasizes identifying trauma triggers and designing scaffolded learning experiences that address students’ emotional needs, fostering resilience and engagement. Recognizing that trauma manifests in various forms, including hidden trauma, the approach offers adaptable tools that can be integrated across disciplines and grade levels without requiring a religious worldview. Ultimately, this thesis aims to assist educators in promoting healing and academic achievement through compassionate, intentional practices grounded in universal values.
