Social Policy and Gender Equality

The report showcases successful initiatives, such as Kenya’s Cash Transfer for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (CT-OVC), which have significantly reduced poverty and improved human capital. However, challenges remain, including inadequate childcare facilities and the exclusion of women from certain public works programs. The report underscores the importance of integrating male involvement in social policies to promote gender equality effectively. Ultimately, it advocates for comprehensive social protection strategies to support women’s economic development and create inclusive societies.
