Assignment Transcript

Drug abuse remains a significant public health challenge globally, driven by biological predispositions, adverse childhood experiences, peer pressure, and mental health issues. Its impact extends beyond physical health, affecting mental well-being and social stability, often resulting in criminal activities, unemployment, and social isolation. Preventing drug misuse requires a coordinated approach that includes education, community and parental support, counseling, and strict policy enforcement. School-based programs have been proven effective in reducing early experimentation. Strengthening family communication and social support networks fosters protective environments for youth. Government regulations controlling drug accessibility complement these efforts. Overall, a multifaceted strategy focusing on education, social support, and policy can substantially decrease drug abuse and its societal burden.
