During the winter 2021 academic term, we joined the AIU community to pursue our education via the Masters in Leadership and Management program. AIU promotes a strong interconnected community created using innovative technology to connect online learners with real-world engagement. Since the program is delivered in an online fashion, you may be thinking you are separated from a community; you are wrong. Though the programs are delivered online students are found in a very lively and dynamic community across many mediums created via student, alumni, and faculty collaborations and participations through forums like MYAIU, AIULink, AIUTV, and others. As students you may submit questions and ideas online which will be responded to by other students, alumni, or faculty members. There is a strong exchange of ideas and experiences that creates a community, regardless of its physical form.
Often in the community there are events taking place such as symposiums, conferences, webinars, and competitions, all of which provide ample opportunities for growth and networking. Our educational experience has not only taken advantage of event tools via live and archived webinars, but we were able to participate in our first virtual conference with students, alumni, and faculty, and even participated in Lunch and Learn live chats with experts to discuss various topics relevant to master’s students. Also available to students are resources to support education, for example Curriculum Builder Tool, Merlin Media Center, and Language Center resources.
AIU promotes tools and resources to support collaboration and connection, and a community with success is evident in their focus on dedicated Tutors, Academic Advisors, and connection with a solid AIU Alumni network; as students are completing degrees-alone-remotely they really have not been alone; instead they have taken part in a vibrant, engaging and supportive community that supports engagement, innovation, and learning.

The other requirements propounded by each program must be met; and primarily, applicants must have obtained a bachelor’s degree from a recognized and accredited university which also provides evidence of a strong academic foundation appropriate to leadership and management. Applicants must provide copies of official transcripts (by mail), experience relevant to the preferred program, and letters of recommendation to support the qualification for admission along with the determination of potential.
Additionally, applicants will submit a statement of purpose detailing career goals and rationale for alignment within the program selected, and a current resume or CV.
