Orientation Courses
AIU’s Master’s in Criminology and Civil Disputes program starts with five key orientation courses designed to provide students with reference points to find their way along the academic journey intentionally. The registration process should be completed before orientation so that the outlines from the published program documents are available to each orientation course to support the students’ journey.
The orientations include Philosophy of Education, Academic Evaluation, Fundamentals of Self-Directed Learning, Communication and Investigation, and Development of Graduate Study Tools. Each orientation will be aligned to support the andragogic direction taken by AIU as well as develop the students’ ability to take responsibility for their educational journey, develop research, analysis, and reflexivity skills, and provide an initial learning framework to facilitate meaningful advanced study into criminology, civil law, and dispute resolution.

Research Projects
As part of the Masters in Criminology and Civil Disputes at AIU, students undertake substantive research projects that connect theory with practice. Thesis Defense
