The Associate in Geography consists of two live online classes each day. Individuals who complete an Associate in Geography program will be equipped for many entry-level and intermediate roles in which an understanding of physical and human geography; environmental systems; and spatial analysis is applicable. Associate in Geography Admission Requirements
To make sure students experience the Associate in Geography program as an effective learning experience for andragogy, students will be required to have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent secondary education before engaging in self-directed and andragogy learning. This program is built to support the learning of adults who are motivated and find interest in the field of geography, including environmental studies, and spatial analysis. A background in geography may be considered an asset, but certainly not a requirement, as the program does have classes that are foundational or course content that will help students understand the different areas of the field. Additionally, the student may later be asked to provide their academic transcripts, a statement of purpose reflecting on why they are learning or what their motivation is, and relevant experience they possess related to the program.
