Training the Leaders of the Future

Being a teacher is, without a doubt, one of the greatest responsibilities that an individual can have, who has to sow the seeds of knowledge, curiosity, questioning and logical reasoning in so many young people; thus managing to train the new generations of leaders, who will be in charge of continuing the legacy of developing their communities and countries in the near future.

This is how moved by his students and determined to give the best of himself, John Robinson decided to undertake his PhD studies to update what he had already learned, after receiving an MBA in 1985.

As a professor at the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology, Robinson's challenge is always to be able to offer students a new point of view, another perspective, that allows them to broaden their vision. Robinson sees in each of his students a future leader and feels the enormous responsibility of preparing them to be responsible and upright men, not only for their own future, but for that of their communities.

Learn to teach

The best way to teach is to be, first, in the place of the student himself. With this in mind, Professor John Robinson entered the AIU learning program, which gave him not only the opportunity to return to classes, but to do so with the freedom to go at his own pace and the support of new tools that, in other universities, are not available. In addition to counting, of course, on traditional resources.

Hand in hand with all these resources, Professor Robinson's experience was very enriching, since he learned about other ways of learning, which is now reflected in his way of teaching, providing a new perspective to his students, offering new concepts, information and points of view that they can use for the development of their countries.
