Schemas in Early Childhood
Do you ever find yourself wondering why a child enjoys spinning in circles, or why a little one is constantly dumping baskets or bins of toys all over the floor? The answer could be very simple: schematic play. In this class, we'll learn about repeated patterns of behavior that children demonstrate through play, also known as schemas. We'll explore the nine most common schemas, discover how these forms of play help children learn about the world around them, and discuss activities that can be introduced that align with these interests to promote further growth and development for the child.
