It started as waves of uncertainty and despair at the onset of the programme but as time went by, the whole exercise became extremely very interesting and heart-warming. The content and scope of the academic exercise were indeed very challenging allowing for self motivation and innovation. The fact that the programme was not the usual classroom set-up but rather a virtual/electronic online format made the programme extremely unique and peculiar. The overwhelming access to information in the library and the ever willing nature of my academic supervisor to render assistance at any given time gave the programme a big boost. I am really grateful that today I have realized my dream of master and doctorate degrees in public health. Although it was not easy as the research aspect took some mental, physical and financial energies, but it was worth the sacrifice in the long run. I want to say “a big thank you” to the academic department of AIU and my supervisor-Dr. Edgar Colon. At long last, I have my dreams on my laps and the sky is not my limit.
