My experience at Atlantic
International University
Life at
International University was really interesting. This was so because I
supervised myself to pursue my degree program. During my first term I felt like
it was just a machine grading my work and I felt hopeless because in the other
Universities I attended I was used to seeing the lecturers faces to face. Later
,when my tutor Rina called me to inquire if I had any questions to do with term
two work on book reviews I gained hope and felt that I was dealing with human
beings like me out there.
During the
course of study I enjoyed myself because I was at liberty to purse courses that
were in line with Masters Program in development studies in Human geography.
This made it easier and AIU made me the professional in my area to realise my dream.
The dream is all about to be called Doctor in Philosophy.
My best
moments were when I sat long hours writing assignment especially in courses
like rural finance and decentralisation. This is really what can help the
Africans move out their poverty situation and became economically independent
and reduce on being economic refugees overseas.
The other
aspect that caused me to enjoy my studies at this University was that once I
had written my assignment and was authentic my advisor Michael Daniel did not
hesitate to grade my work and a warded me the deserving grade. This I salute my
advisor and tutor for the commendable work.
The worst
moment during my course of study was using the video conferences. I had quite a
lot of them about 54. This made me strain my eyes and this caused pain. But I
must say that this is the best mode of learning especially for a working adult
like me. However, I have recommended strongly this university to many of my
friends that are normally busy during the working hours and cannot be a full
time student university.
I have also completed my course in record time.
This was because I was so dedicated to work and had long hours doing my work. I
wish to continue with my Post doctoral program with AIU soon. Thank you AIU
staff and management for the great hospitality granted to me.
