My academic association with the Atlantic International University (AIU) during the last three and a half years can be summed up in one word – phenomenal. I look back on these years with pride as I reminisce on how I initially questioned myself on how I would engage and cope with serious academic study through a virtual platform. These concerns immediately melted away as soon as I registered and noted AIU’s online presence through the Student Portal which contained, with one click, all the details pertaining to my study programme including related timelines, tutors, fee payment schedule tailored to my affordability, wide-ranging library resource and testimonials from the University’s alumni.
I commenced my full-time study programme at the age of 63 years. I will be graduating at age 66 year plus. This is a major milestone for me and my family. This is also a journey I was not confident I could complete but the AIU Team literally led me by the hand, especially when I experienced some health setbacks. During these times, I received various mail and telephonic contacts from the University staff who would follow up on delays in assignment submission, enquire on the nature of the delay and guide on best way forward. I recall educational guidance and support received from my various tutors such as Mr. Renato Cifuentes, Professor Andreas Rissler, Professor Olabode, Ms. Miriam James, Mr. Scott Wilson, culminating in an incredibly empowering Evaluation session with our Academic Director, Dr. Edward Lambert.
I recently retired from active field service with an international organization. As a pensioner, my level of comfort in paying my AIU fees was constant in my mind. However, AIU alerted me to a payment plan that I could adopt and adhere to during the course of my study programme. This arrangement was perfect for me. Once initiated, I was able to completely focus on my studies.
In a nutshell, I have had a fulfilling educational experience with AIU. This is a University that has adopted new virtual educational approaches that are completely structured to give you a total personal educational experience from own space of comfort – with research, classes, interaction with AIU officials, payments all done online. AIU is indeed a pioneer in this virtual well of academic excellence. Thank you AIU.
