My Experience at AIU
My study period at Atlantic International University was a time of academic maturity and development. I had great satisfaction in my studies; the challenging work, sufficient guidance, excellent service from all departments as well as timely feedback made me enjoy my studies at there.
Firstly, the self-directed learning is a new paradigm in education that I valued greatly. The student is given the floor to take charge of his/her learning. Additionally, one chooses the areas of interest and importance in one’s career. I had the chance to identify some subjects that will assist me best in my professional and personnel development. In the process I further determined my course by developing my own curriculum. This is a type of education that addresses personal ambitions and expectations. I designed practical assignments that assist me in my professional growth.
Apart from this, the study program develops critical thinking and research. The assignments required a lot of academic and professional researches. I researched from the libraries in my area, from virtual libraries and various companies. This assisted me greatly. Added to this was the practical and timely advice which I got from my advisor.
The other essential aspect is that I got a lot of help and support from various departments at the University. The administration department was very communicative, for example in issues that deal with payment of tuition. They have been an understanding and supportive people, who where interested in the advancement of the student’s academic achievement, without some disturbances and delays. The student service department always responded to my queries on time. At times they would give us additional guidance and help. Above that all, the advisor/tutors were very professional and of assistance always.
My studies at Atlantic International University was a great experience. Despite the fact that I had not had previous studies through Virtual learning, the guidance I got made it worthwhile and easy. Now I know that virtual education is as great an educational learning mode just as face to face (Campus based). The flexibility inherent in online education means anyone from any background, within various environments can access higher education.
One other thing is that my studies at AIU gears some one to be a knowledge creator as well. The research depth, practical approach as well as the global focus is promotive of knowledge creation. At AIU I was not only a knowledge consumer but also a knowledge creator; the skill and expertise which I will take into the broader world. Due to my great experience I have started to do researches in my area of specialisation.
My experience at AIU had been worth my time, my experience and my money. With the new trend of the globalisation of education, Atlantic International University is a safe destination.
