EXPERIENCE WITH AIU
Reference is made to the above heading,
I have the pleasure to write about my experience with Atlantic International University. I have been enrolled with Atlantic International University as a Distance learner since August 2006. The decision to join this organization came after the thorough survey of various universities that provide a Ph.D in Project Management and I became impressed with the delivering methods applied by AIU.
In the first place, I was Impressed by the University’s Admission Counselor who was very concerned and enthusiastic; he has played a great part to prepare me psychologically, It is him in the first instance who contributed to the achievement of my objective. It goes without denial that his support was the foundation of my studies. I remember when he was communicating with me through telephones or texts; he kept on encouraging me that “you will be the wonderful student….please take this chance o f…”.
Methodology for conducting the distance learning is not only up to date one but it is a customer demand oriented. Customer determines what he wants to achieve, at the same time, the delivery system of the University is open and ready to accept inputs from students for the betterment of the students themselves. This has impressed me and motivated my studies.
My experience with AIU is wonderful, the life with Atlantic University is motivating, my advisor Dr Valcin, is facilitative and encouraging, used to provided remarks and advices that build a student. I remember when I went wrong he used to say “you are right but…do other way; skip this and try to follow other approach”. This gentleman’s language is motivating.
The Staff of AIU particularly My Advisor, Academic department are cooperative and active. You do not take long time to get the result of your papers/ assignments that you have submitted. Sometimes you get the results within 12 hours instead of 2 days. None of my assignments took more than one day. The academic department kept on informing me with contemporary issues and requested me to write papers/assignments as an academic enrichment; this should continue.
On other side of the coin I heard the voice of my advisor through Video conference. The communication by phones between student and supervisors is very limited. This should be improved.
Lastly not the list, I like to take this opportunity to present my satisfaction with the program, my academic gape has now filled in less than three years. I am now confident and reliable expert in the field of Project management and I am academically mature and I can be consulted.
Finishing the Course with Atlantic International University is not the end of communication but should be the start of more active interactions between me and the University.
Welcome Tanzania!
Thank you Very Much
