Atlantic International University, while pursuing my PhD in Microbiology, school of Science
and Engineering, from 30/8/22 to 14/11/24, has been instrumental in shaping my academic and
professional career.
During my studies, I had the opportunity to work on several research projects, including
“Growth Medium Optimization and Genetic Adaptation of a Wild Edible Agaricus Mushroom
Species in Uganda”. I also had the privilege of publishing my research in a notable journal
(International Journal of Advanced Research). Throughout these experiences, I developed
expertise in applied microbiology, molecular biotechnology, microbial genetics, food
microbiology analyses, project management skills as well as critical thinking and problem
solving skills.
Additionally, the financial and academic support from the University and from my professors,
academic advisors and tutor respectively in the department significantly contributed to my career
growth mostly in the field of research. This experience has not only strengthened my technical
knowledge but also equipped me with essential communication and leadership skills, preparing
me for future challenges in my career.
I will always be grateful for all the support offered to me all the time I have been a student at
Atlantic International University.
Yours sincerely,
Jane Nampala Mayambala
