Experience Letter
Online study being a concept where students pursue courses which are tailor made makes learning challenging and interesting though with room for self navigation. It opens up education to anyone who feels like furthering studies on either line of work or profession. Unlike traditional institutions where students are captives of programmed lectures, here students have freedom of choice to pursue their own routes to success.
The personal experience I gained in this type of study points to an elaborate independency on the part of a student when designing a course that suits one’s own preference. It was a learning process whose progression was entire in my hands as a learner thus making an individualistic contribution to the course. Therefore, it gave me an opportunity to take full control of my study programmes without relying on institutionalized schedules thereby enabling me to freely navigate the learning.
However, it is worthy noting that studying as an adult while in employment with a family of school and college going children was not a bed of roses. It requires a personalised balancing act coupled with discipline and dedication of the highest order for smooth operations. Any activity that may disadvantage a section which forms basic foundation of the student’s study environment must be avoided at all costs. As a student I had to ensure that the work never suffered, the family did not feel neglected as well as equitable distribution of resources. These were the cornerstone and sure ways of harmonizing interests and needs of the various stakeholders who had stake in me as a person.
