In recent days Atlantic International University was informed that on April 23rd. Alas Peruanas University (UAP) turned twelve years old. UAP has been working very closely with AIU based on the collaboration agreement signed between both institutions. Dr. Fidel Ramirez Prado leads this university with a new approach about human knowledge to better serve society and his country. On the 18th– 19th and 20th of this past month UAP has inaugurated two new branches- one in the city of Tarapoto and the second one in Moyobamba- which belongs to the Department of San Martin. These branches are located in the forest zone- and are one hour away from Lima by plane. It is a zone with extreme and abundant vegetation as well as beautiful landscapes; their habitants dedicate themselves to the agriculture of coffee- cacao- bananas- corn and other products for human consumption.
Many of their young habitants have a desire for education to better serve the socioeconomic and cultural progress of their towns. Both subsidiaries already initiated classes with over 500 students who have recently joined this institution. The population seems very pleased because of the prevailing necessity for a university in this area. Dr. Fidel Ramírez Prado President of the university placed the first stone in the campus of Moyobamba himself. The attendants expressed their emotions and joy through excited displays of gratitude. AIU thanks everyone involved in this amazing project sponsoring the continued development of Peru.
