Itamar Rogovsky student of the Doctorate program in Business Administration at AIU was interviewed on Human Resources and it was published through the Journal of Sociedad of R.R.H.H Spain’s National grouping of all Institutions and Businesses of Spain.
During his interview- titled: ‘If “Human Resources” doesn’t change- we will be irrelevant’- he was asked:
“In this social abyss- there are professionals in the human resources function- what role should this professional play today in these organizations? “
He states:
“A very important role; be the leader of the paradigm change in the businesses and organizations in general- not cooperate “innocently”- betraying your role and contributing slavishly to damages committed.”

“Businesses probably buy our soul. Today in Spain – with more than 25% of unemployment- 50% of teenagers with no prospect of work and with a generation of “NINIS” and with nothing else to do but “sell”- What else can be done to overcome the current economic situation?”
“I stated and state that businesses buy our soul- not all- but the majority. They consider and treat us like objects- like resources- like machines- like capital- and not like subjects or people.
You ask what more can be done to overcome the actual economic situation: A lot can be done and it’s being done: but to be successful- you have to face reality- change the paradigm and consequently change the way we do things- of how we organize and act. It is neither possible nor logical that the old formulas or the current functions of today can be used for new situations.”
Itamar’s current plans in Spain are to continue directing and teaching the course of Master Consultant of Organizational Development that organizes AEDIPE Catalunya- in Barcelona – in its eleventh promotion- among other projects.
Itamar is the Director of the GR Institute of Organizational Development of Israel.
