AIU deeply regrets the death of one of our outstanding students

July 30, 2010

We wish to share with the Educational Family of  AIU the regrettable death of our student María Eugenia Carlota Mena who passed away last last June.

Maria Eugenia was developing at AIU a Ph.D. program in Sociology. She has always shown tremendous dedication and talent to her studies despite all the difficulties and obstacles she faced.

Among many achievements made by Maria Eugenia in life- teaching- their participation in politics in the field of education- etc..- María Eugenia came to serve as the Executive Secretary of the National Council for the Quality of Educational Programs in
Dietetic in Mexico.

We wish the family of Maria Eugenia- her husband José Amando Loaiza and her daughter Amanda Eugenia- an early resignation and that the memory of Maria Eugenia give them courage and strength to keep going.
