Atlantic International University is delighted once again to share the Thesis Defense of one of our students- Abraham Bogale. He recently presented his thesis defense which was graded with an A. His thesis was titled- “WASH-HEALTH NEXUS IN ETHIOPIA“. You can find an abstract of his thesis down below:
ABSTRACT:
This study was to emphasize the pivotal significance of the WASH-Health nexus with evidence and look at areas that hinder the WASH-Health nexus in Ethiopia. Extensive literature reviews on previous researches- papers- reports- and articles have been conducted to comprehend the nexus among the two sectors in focus and the extent of nexus hindrance in Ethiopia. This was fundamental in the formulation of the research design and methodology.
Questionnaire surveys- interviews- and a case study have been employed to search the significance of the nexus and barriers (if any). Accordingly- a purposive random selection of sample respondents from WASH and Health sectors for the questionnaire survey was adopted along with key informant interviews and a case study on an operational research project. The total sample size was 50 for the qualitative questionnaire survey and 15 for the key informant interviews. The study period was March 2021-July 2021.
Abraham Bogale completed a Doctorate program with a major in Sustainable Development in Civil Engineering at Atlantic International University. We are very proud of you and we wish you more success in all of your professional projects.
