A wealth of Academic resources is provided to AIU students to facilitate their growth, development, and the fulfillment of their defined dreams and program goals. The AIU Online library puts 210,000 books and over 30 million peer reviewed/academic articles, journals, and publications at your fingertips. Access and contribute to over 105,000 AIU created academic contents shared on Merlin Media Center.
Today our world has generated an exponential increase in quality sources for learning and education. Most of these courses are outside the classroom via experts, social media, YouTube MOOC sharing real world knowledge and practical learning to their followers, visitors, viewers.
Access to experts has never been greater and is no longer limited to academia or university professors. This phenomenon paired with the desire to teach the masses has generated in nich called micro learning where complex topics and areas of study can be condensed and compressed into 15 minute intervals that achieve the perhaps 80% of transfer of knowledge that would typically be contained in 2 or 3 hours of “college lectures”. This is done by simplifying, summarizing , removing unnecessary content and focusing on the most relevant and practically applicable.
