Her story is one of transformation, from a young professional to a distinguished expert in the field of psychology, social work, and human rights.

Inspiring Generations: Maria Eugenia's Seminars and Intellectual Nurturing

Maria Eugenia began her professional journey as the Director of El Edén School Weekend Plan from 2005 to 2010. During her tenure, she demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and a passion for education that transformed the school's weekend program. She worked tirelessly to create an enriching and inclusive environment for students, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

In 2010, Maria Eugenia took on a new challenge as a Seminar Lecturer at El Edén School Weekend Plan, where she continued to inspire and educate future generations. Her dedication to her students was unwavering, and her seminars became known for their insightful content and engaging delivery. She played a pivotal role in shaping young minds and nurturing their intellectual growth.

However, Maria Eugenia's journey was not limited to education alone. In 2013, she took on a crucial role as the Head of the Department of Complaints Reception and Assessment at the Office of the Human Rights Ombudsman in Guatemala. Here, she channeled her passion for justice and human rights into her work. Her tireless efforts in investigating complaints and advocating for those in need earned her respect and admiration from colleagues and the community alike.

Mission to Make a Difference

In February 2020, Maria Eugenia embarked on a new chapter as a Psychologist at Casa de Vida Shelter. Her arrival brought hope and support to individuals facing adversity and seeking refuge. Her empathetic approach and professional expertise provided solace to those in crisis, reinforcing the shelter's mission to provide safety and healing.

Today, Maria Eugenia continues to dedicate her life to helping others, simultaneously working in two government institutions: the Ministry of Education and the Office of the Human Rights Ombudsman in Guatemala. Her tireless commitment to education and human rights shines as an example of what one person can achieve when driven by a deep sense of purpose.

Her chosen subject, focusing on addiction-related family issues in Guatemala, instilled confidence in her ability to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance. Her remarkable path, encompassing both her undergraduate and master's studies at AIU, paved the way for her to attain significant achievements.
