Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean, Digby is survived by his children Christopher, Sean (Barbara), and Tamara (Kent), as well as his grandchildren and extended family members. Following the loss of Jean, Digby made the courageous decision to leave behind a successful law career in Montreal to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Counseling at the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago.

Devoting himself to the formal study of grief and loss, Digby earned his doctorate in Thanatology, laying the groundwork for a distinguished career as a clinical counselor. Until the the age of 80, he dedicated his energies to assisting others, working tirelessly at BCFIT (BC Families in Transition) in Victoria.
