These individuals will be responsible for performing echocardiography or ultrasound procedures and imaging the heart and its anatomical structures in a quality manner to assist a physician’s diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. They may also be responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment, maintaining patient safety and care standards, and communicating the results of their exams clearly to other health care providers. In addition to these job duties, Ecotechnology professionals may also conduct advanced imaging studies; conduct research; or provide education to others. Therefore, they provide valuable contributions to hospitals, diagnostic imaging centres, and specialised cardiac care centres.
