This research explores the rising burden of hypertension among women aged 40 and above, a vulnerable demographic due to hormonal changes, lifestyle factors, and healthcare disparities. By examining the prevalence and risk factors, the study highlights how modifiable behaviors like high sodium intake, physical inactivity, and obesity, coupled with non-modifiable elements such as age and family history, contribute to increased risk. The thesis evaluates existing public health strategies—including lifestyle interventions and healthcare system improvements—and underscores gaps that limit their effectiveness. Combining quantitative data with qualitative insights from healthcare providers and communities, the research aims to inform targeted policies and community programs. Ultimately, it seeks to improve early detection, management, and equitable care for women in this age group worldwide.
