Innovation at home: Smart heating for a sustainable future with HubControls
Did you know that today, much of the world’s energy consumption comes from our homes? It is difficult to think that this is so, considering that on the other side, there is also energy consumption by the creation of cars and industries in general, but yes, this is a reality, and it is significantly affecting our environment.Â
From this great need, an innovative idea is born that manages to change the way we relate to the climate of our homes and, in turn making use of technology in a conscious way; it is HubControls, a tool that promises to be the best optimizer of energy consumption.
The energy challenge begins at home
It is no secret that, in different parts of the world, during the most extreme seasons of the year, heating and cooling systems become indispensable. However, it generates a significant amount of polluting emissions.
According to a recent study by the World Green Building Council, which has been dedicated to promoting sustainable building worldwide, currently commercial and residential buildings are generating 39% of global carbon emissions that are related to energy, so they suggest reducing by 2030 at least 55% to reverse this trend.Â
Likewise, a report by the consulting firm Gemserv determined that thanks to the smart thermostats that many have implemented in their homes in Europe, they have even surpassed the efficiency of solar energy, being the most cost-effective decarbonization measure. What is smart heating?
It is an advanced system that allows you to control the temperature of your home using technology connected to the internet. This allows, unlike some traditional systems, to adapt in a personalized and more efficient way the monthly or annual consumption, thus reducing costs and providing greater comfort.Â
In the same way Hub Controller works, it is basically an intelligent thermostat that learns from your habits and environmental conditions, which allows it to regulate the heating automatically and remotely. This system is very complete, it knows when to turn on or off the boiler or air conditioning, collects information about the humidity level, temperature, weather conditions and sends you a detailed report of everything in real time.
This amazing smart thermostat has three main pillars:Â
1- Connectivity and easy access: The Hub Controller connects directly to the home Wi-Fi network and can be managed directly from its mobile app with active monitoring.Â
2- Optimization of energy consumption: The system is designed with the ability to learn the home’s routines. Its sensors and algorithms manage to adjust the temperature automatically, maintaining a pleasant climate at any time.
3- Real economic savings: By maintaining the right temperature constantly, you significantly reduce the energy consumption that you usually have without control and this is directly reflected in a decrease of the monthly bill, representing a substantial savings in the long term.
Opting for smart switching
One of HubControls’ most notable features is its innovative installation system that is focused purely on user satisfaction and comfort. They created a guided three-step process that includes: initial consultation to understand the customer’s needs, agreement based on potential savings of at least 15%, and finally installation, with the promise that if no savings are realized from this change, they assume the full cost of installation and removal.Â
This model is already a widespread success, with more than 12,000 in Europe and cities such as Buffalo and Binghamton in the United States, achieving measurable impact results. Minimum savings of 15%, equivalent to $368 per year, a $20 post-installation subscription, and a 36% reduction in HVAC-related expenses are a change worth making.Â
